How to „Online Conference“

Enter the Virtual Electroceramics XVII conference here:

The virtual “Electroceramics XVII” conference is designed to come as close to its “in person” counterpart as possible. The central part of the event are thus the live sessions (talks, posters, panels and virtual coffee breaks).

We therefore invite you to take your time between August 24 and 28 and meet your colleagues. Here we briefly describe how this can be done:

1. Virtual conference platform: https://event.electroceramicsxvii.exordo.com/
  • Attend live talks, plenaries and panel discussions: the talk will take place as allocated in the schedule and will be followed by live Q&A
  • You can attend the talk through the Webex interface
  • In case you missed a talk, you can watch it “on demand” afterwards. Questions for the speaker can then be posted via the chat/forum function.

2. “Cisco Webex Meetings” application for videoconferencing

3. Virtual world “gather.town”:  https://gather.town/HSBdd1x0JeBtjrgV/Electroceramics_final
  • This virtual world will be used for coffee breaks and the live poster session
  • You can access it via the above link and the password, which was sent to you via email - please note that this Virtual world is only working with Chrome and Firefox
  • Use this option to meet your old friends and get2know new people!
  • Explore the virtual world and use your camera/microphone to interact with your colleagues (you need to enable access to your camera and microphone for your browser)
  • The live poster sessions will take place on Tuesday morning (9:00 to 10:30 am) and afternoon (16:30 to 18:00 pm) - there you can chat with presenters in person. However, if you cannot make it to the session, you will also be able to view the posters afterwards at the virtual conference platform.
  • The welcome party will take place on Sunday afternoon (14:00-16:00 pm) - there you can walk around the conference world and have open or private conversations with your colleagues.
