Poster Presentation Information

Preparation of posters
The posters can be prepared using any software (e.g., PowerPoint, Illustrator, etc.); however, they have to be saved and uploaded in the PDF format. We recommend using page size of at least A3 or larger. The maximum allowed size of the uploaded file is 50 MB, but we recommend making your files smaller than 10 MB. In addition to the poster, you can also upload a short biography of max. 200 words (optional).
Optional: You can also prepare a separate max. 5 min audio or video description of your poster and upload it along your PDF poster file. This would enable other attendees to have a better understanding of your poster contribution outside the live poster session.

Detailed instructions for poster presentations authors:
  • All live poster sessions will take place on Tuesday, August 25. The morning block (9:00-10:30) will contain Poster sessions I and II, while the afternoon block (16:30-18:00) Poster sessions III and IV.
  • To find out about your session, please find your poster in the Virtual conference platform - the session information will appear on the right-hand side, in the section “Ways to watch”. In addition, you can also use the search function.
  • Important: The live poster sessions will take place in the Virtual world “gather.town” (https://gather.town/HSBdd1x0JeBtjrgV/Electroceramics_final), not in the Virtual conference platform “ExOrdo”. You can access the Virtual world “gather.town” using the password, which will be sent to you via Email.
  • Presenting authors are kindly asked to attend their respective live poster sessions and locate themselves in the vicinity of the virtual poster, so that they can answer potential questions by other participants. This is also important for those participating in the Poster competition, as the reviewers may approach you and ask questions.
  • We strongly advise you to test the Virtual world “gather.town” prior to the poster session, for example during Welcome party on Sunday or the coffee breaks on Monday (although the poster rooms will not be open yet).
  • In the Virtual world “gather.town”, you will also have the possibility to share your screen with other participants while communicating with them - you can therefore prepare additional material to better explain your work to interested colleagues.
  • After your session: Your poster will become visible to the participants after your live poster session in the main Virtual conference platform, and will be available for on-demand viewing 1 month after the conference. As you may have noticed, the page of your presentation has a “Post a Question” section. If participants post questions here, you will receive an email notification - you are kindly asked to reply to participant´s questions at your earliest convenience.
